Here he comes!!!!!!!

Three more weeks to wait and our new and first grand-son will be here .
I made this quilt for him using the Chenille techniqueIt waits just like his grand-mère ...as the tag says to hug him and welcome him into our precious family and into the world.

An Easter blessing for certain!

Where have I been????

I did not stray far but I was off the radar for longer than I thought. I can't believe how time flies....as Gerald would tell you if you can't find me I am usually in my sewing corner. The most used room in the house :)

I finished a quilt top and am excited to present to you my very first work with Batiks
I played with my embroidery machine and
when I was done those blocks it was evident that Batiks should be incorporated in the quilt. I am thinking I am going to hand or machine quilt it myself!
Wow! I am getting brave in my old age or am I overzealous???
The guild is going full swing as we prepare for an open house to celebrate our first anniversary. We are all excited to welcome other guilds coming to join us from Par-en-Bas and the Valley, the Paradise Village Quilters for a fun day. We will have quilts in frames for everyone to sit around and hand quilt. A true Quilting Bee!!!

La Guilde is very excited about the cancer quilt we are making. Everyone makes three blocks.
Two Hour glass blocks and one with an appliqued ribbon in the cancer color of their choice . If everyone makes three blocks we will be able to have more than one quilt to give to the Cancer Society.

Off to check your blogs to see what you have been up to.

Happy Sewing .. :)
