The members of "La Guilde Acadienne de Clare" were very excited to make the "Braid" Table runner because it is a quilt-as-you-go, so I decided to put another such project together and came up with this one.......
I did not give it a name and I challenged the Guilde members to come up with a name for our new project. They have until the end of the month to submit their ideas.. and a draw will determine the name of the runner... It is almost long enough to make it into a bed scarf so I may make another one and add a another block for that purpose.
The May workshop at the "guilde" ( spelled with an "e" in french) will be given by one of our members.. Debra Howard, and this is the project she will be teaching...
A scrappy Lone Star... This is the quilt in its entirety....A B S O L U T E L Y gorgeous...I know everyone will enjoy working on this project♥♥♥
As for me; I finished my "Garden Party" and it is at Agnes' being quilted. As soon as I have the binding sewn on I will post it.. It is one of my favourite project .
My grand-daugthers are growing and soooo very special...:)
Ariane 8, Amy 22, Émile 2, and Laurène 10. This was taken at Easter . No grand-sons yet....Have a good week.. Canada has been in the election mode for a while now and tomorrow we vote!
Yes, Canadians lets do it! Go Vote.....
That table runner is so pretty, Joan! And I love the scrappy lone star, how gorgeous. Your grandchildren are just beautiful!!!!! I shall try to send some spring your way....
ReplyDeleteOur family went to the advanced polls just to get it done. There was a surprising number of people who did the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of working within a group. It brings people closer together and you make so many wonderful friends. Our guild used to do that but things fell by the wayside.
Your family is lovely and as a very new grandmother, I know that yours are cherished.
They are growing fast...what beautiful girls!!! Love those quilts! & your header!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Joan. Your granddaughters are beautiful - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteHave you chosen a name for your runner as yet? I am curious as to what a bed scarf is, as I've never heard that term.
