Rose of Sharon

I did not only shop on our trip to PEI
I had brought my hand quilting basket  and did

 Block #3 hand appliqué

for my Rose of Sharon
How many more to go???
Oh! but I am not complaining as I had decided this was a long term project.

As mentioned in my previous post it is time  to get ready for the return to the Guild meetings.
When we broke off for the summer months I gave the members a challenge to make a snowball block during the summer and we will gather them all to make a quilt for the "Blanket of Love " for the Mental Health Unit at the Yarmouth Hospital .
Here are my blocks:
I choose machine embroidery and it gave me the fever to make a full size quilt with blocks machine embroidered.
We will have a parade of all the blocks made by the members and I will have pictures. I look forward to seeing the quilt all put together.
Happy Labour day and enjoy the long week-end!
More time to sew:)
