Simply Christmas

The quilt on my header is the first appliqué quilt I made and the first I hand quilted. I did the primitive hand quilting with the black
Pearl Cotton. This quilt keeps my fourth Grand-daughter
snug as as a bug

Snow is on the ground and.....

the decorations seem more appropriate...
Friday was the day I started to decorate with the intentions of only doing a few boxes
but one box led to another and soon I had

put some out all day. It seems they don't look right if everything is not displayed together...
I had no intentions of putting my tree up yet but
There it stands ... in the family room
I choose red this year because it is bright and I know grand-son Miguel's first Christmas will brighten our Holidays
I managed to take a break in between the rooms and glanced at  my Quilt World magazine only to find a quick and interesting project.

A Holly Leaf Fabric Bowl... a fun and easy project to make!!!!

Happy decorating!  Now comes the baking...

Ahh! The Prairie Points

I only made the Prairie Points once and always loved the looks of any project with them in it.
The runner is my own design and the fabric is
Northern Cardinal by Holly Taylor.
Beads dress it up nicely.

The Guild had its annual Christmas Tea and it was a great success..

We are all ready to welcome the guest to the tea
Grand-mère and her two girls Ariane and Laurène in our special Christmas aprons.

The Hall is all ready
Christmas music is on and the decorations are up...
The food is getting ready.. the kitchen is buzzing..

and now it's time to relax and enjoy

Grand-daughter Laurène inspires me

Laurène is making a Christmas table topper for her mom (daughter Yvelle) for her birthday on November 6th.
And here it is is all finished...
It inspired me to make Yvelle some Christmas place mats using some of  the same fabric for her birthday also.
Set of 12
4 different embroidery designs.

I enjoy making  this pattern.
They fit so beautifully on the table.
Yvelle's house décor is all country.
The pattern is "Designs to Share with You". www.designstoshare.com

Tomorrow is my embroidery club class at Knit and Stitch in New Minas and I am soooo looking forward to doing that project. Dianne sent me the picture and YES it is a Christmas project. I will have pictures..
