Tag... for the CG&GQC

Oh my! it's already the 15th of April.... where has this month gone?
How are your April goals coming along?
I am certain you will all be able to relate to the following disclosure:

Whenever I do my groceries there is one special detour I like to take from the grocery isles and that is to the magazine stand.
No not just any magazines but special MAGAZINES...Quilt magazines that is....

In January, being a new year, I sit down and decide which subscription I will subscribe to for that year...
These are my 2010 subscriptions.

What I would like to know is :

1. if you can relate to this, which magazines do you prefer? and

2. have you ever made any projects from those magazines? and

3. maybe you want to show us the project(s)?

My favourites ........ I have two....
These are the two subscriptions I renew every year. I not only like the patterns but they have a lot of informative techniques which are easy to follow. A very good "read".

I have made quite a few projects taken from my subscriptions and this is one of those projects..
Fabric... Cause for the Cure Heritage.

So post me a comment here; to let everyone know your answers to the tag and that you have them posted on your blogs.

For those of you who registered in thefor this Saturday,
I hope you have a fun and very productive day sewing together. I look forward to seeing those beautiful bags

  1. I have been a subscriber to American Patchwork & Quilting for years. I also like the Fons & Porter magazine.
As far as my projects for the month, I haven't had much time since we have had company for several days. But, I have finished one goal and am getting close on another.

  2. I love to tour the quilting mags, but do not subscribe to any. My favorite quilting mag is Homespun and it is expensive to get a subscription here in the US...so if it looks like a REALLY good one I will order that one issue. Every now and again I ill walk out of the store with a new Quilt mag, but mostly like looking at them :)

  6. My fav (today at least) is Quilt. The rest of my answers are on my blog.
Joan, you always pick such lovely colors for your quilts. You did a nice job on your "In the Meadow".

For the tag.... I don't subscribe to any quilting magazines right now. I enjoy visiting the local Barnes & Noble to look through the quilting magazines. I usually get a stack of quilting magazines from the magazine section, then go over to the Starbucks inside the B & N for coffee. I sit down and enjoy reading the magazines along with some tasty coffee. If I find something I want to make in a magazine, then I'll buy the magazine.
