A super evening

The guild had their Christmas get together at a new, just opened, restaurant  and it was perfect. About 50 members came together for a beautiful dinner of Acadian Foods and a Pot-holder exchange.
Member Rose Marie makes beautiful Cross Stitch and she presented me with one ..

The Quilter's Sampler . It is beautiful!

Everyone who brought a gift of a pot holder got to pick one. We then had a  parade of Pot-holders ...

Here are just a few....
 Danielle
Ariane ( grand-daughter)

Deanna
Clara
Denise
Sidney
Geraldine
Jeannette
Eva
Elaine
Leona
Paula
Here are mine made by my friend Anna
Rose Marie
Lennie
Elise
Every one of the pot-holders were absolutely gorgeous and what fun we had showing off our gifts.

When we went to Amherst for Karen Neary's workshop in October she introduced us to the use of a corsage pin while sewing on the machine. It is the perfect tool to press out unwanted pleats, or tuck in that turned corner.
Like Oprah or Robin I wanted to share my favorite things with the members and so....

 everyone got a corsage pin!!!!
and it made a big hit!
The prizes were not elaborate cars or bundles of cash but I don't think anyone could have had more fun then we did with our pot holders and corsage pins.
Being together and enjoying each others company was priceless!

Hope your Christmas is a blessed one and the New Year full of peace, joy and serenity♥♥♥
