Perfect sewing day

With the thunder moving away from this area and the rain creating a peaceful melody I go off to the sewing room to plug in the machine and in no time I am lost in HSTs.

Words To Live By .. all done :)
Designed by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings..
How to quilt it is the dilemma now.. machine? hand?
Stay tuned.

Did I get enough of the half square triangles???.. nooo
This is the next project on my to-do-list... By Laundry Basket. Pattern has been shipped.

Here is another beautiful gem... Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend from Karen Neary's workshop.
This one by member Charmène

Things are winding down at the guild for the summer . We only have two more sewing days. This last Wednesday we gathered to sew articles for our shop to sell at the  quilt show.
What a successful day... everyone happy to be together and enjoying the friendships that have been formed over the past four years at La Guilde Acadienne de Clare.

NS Towelette are a hot item
 among our visitors
The large quilt is almost all done and will be for sale at
 the Expo-Couverte
We cannot make enough of  these little Acadian  purses.
So we should be all set for July ..
 Lorna makes beautiful fabric Baskets
 Denise makes Acadian Trivets
 Simone makes NS Tartan clutches
Anna is in the production line for the little purses
Susanne is sewing with Acadian fabric
This gang is busy making Owl Pot Holders
Bernadette cuts and packages fabric squares
Glenda and Charmène are busy sewing the towelettes
And Elise and Deanna setting the machines for the perfect stitch...
Fun! Fun! Fun!

Happy Sewing :)

  1. Wow - you do like HST's! I love the tree pattern that is next on your list. Your guild members look very productive. What were you working on?

  2. Your quilt is beautiful. I hope you hand quilt it. Many hands make short work. It's always nice to get together in a group and work towards a goal.
