but the day was vibrant at the guild with teacher,
member Carmen instructing our Juniors and adults how to make a fun apron.
All the Juniors went home with a beautiful apron... and they were able to say they made them. Some have plans to make another one for their mom's birthday.
Here are the adults who made beautiful aprons in the workshop along with the Juniors.
This my cutie grand-daughter Ariane.. member of the guild. She too had a beautiful apron.
I decided to work on a project I have had in mind for a while. A fabric salesman gave our member Simone (who sells fabrics at our local shop) some beautiful panels. The design reminds me of total serenity. A tree with its branches and roots spread out to embrace us and reassure us all is well.
There are 6 panels and I embroidered the Beatitudes on each one, sandwiched them with fusible fleece and a lining. They will be hanging in the church or maybe in our parish hall where the guild meets. That has not been determined yet as they require a fairly large space.
I finished the free motion.

This pattern was a gift from my sister Simone and now the wall hanging is on the wall in my hall.
I stippled the background all around the flowers. It was a challenge but it looks so much better than just framing the flowers
.
The top and bottom I quilted
in a piano key design.
The sides I machine embroidered a beautiful flower cluster but it does not show in a picture.

It would be great to see the sun because the buds are bursting with energy to bloom.
and the Crab Apple will be gorgeous in full bloom.
Happy Memorial Day to American friends...
