They came !!!!!

That's right...

And here is member Elaine welcoming Beth Munroe..

And the trunks were full!

Charm packs, Layer Cakes, Fat quarter Bundles, Fat quarters galore, Flabbies, Batting, Thread  and Yardage. What fun to have a shop at your finger tips.
The display was fantastic! Karen brought gorgeous eye candy and

we were able to select her patterns to make all of the projects she had on display♥

( Mrs Pugsley) Beth had made all these kits she called Doodle Kits for every member of the guild ... The fabric, the batting and even the thread wound on bobbins.. Oh! yes, we will have pictures for Mrs Pugsley of the these little beauties put together.

How do you say thank you to such wonderful people who drive from one end of the Province to the other to support the Guild.?
The members decided on a print made by a Local artist
Denise Comeau of ...
"Quilts on  a clothesline". Something that is not unusual in our community.

Beth says she will hang hers in Mrs Pugsley's Emporium

and Karen has the perfect place in her home..

What a beautiful day and to top it all we had visits from wonderful friends from near and far...our friends from Par-en- Bas and a blogger friend I had never met in person but am so glad to have been able to hug her ...
Oh! Kaaren I am so glad to have met you and hope we will get a chance to chat in person for a longer period. Thank you so much for coming!

Well we not only shopped but we sewed. The project today was a raw edge table topper and/or placemats.
Here are the samples of what the guild members worked on after shopping at the trunk show. These are not the usual flying geese but raw edge appliqué triangle.
Elise is busy choosing her colors
Everyone is working at cutting, gluing and sewing....
Our newest member Lorraine is busy putting her table topper together
Everyone arranges their colors to make gorgeous works of art... Can't wait to see them all finished..

Now I must go figure out what I am going to make with my new stash !

  2. Thank you for inviting me, Joan. It was sooooooo wonderful to have finally met you in person and to enjoy hugs of friendship. I thoroughly enjoyed the short time I spent there...hubby was waiting in the van with our little Westie and you know how men are. Next time I'll know better and come by myself.

Karen's trunk show was wonderful and I managed to treat myself to some awesome wool batting which I'm hoping that Simone will bring in to Clarence's.

  3. What a great day you must have had; thank you for sharing it with us. The more I learn of this fabulous community of quilters, the more pressure I feel to get packed up and move. But patience is a virtue and perhaps by this time next year. So glad you had the opportunity to meet other bloggers too.
