I love this block and it is simple to do but the simpler it is the more I tend to foul it up... I had to use my seam ripper twice! What is up with that????
I hear ya on that one! I think that I concentrate so much on the "hard" blocks that it works better...and when I don't concentrate on the "easy" blocks I mess it up :)
LOL Joan - the longer I quilt the worse I get at it - a straight seam is now beyond me. My girlfriend can't understand simple patterns, only the ones that give me a headache - the more complicated, the better! Your block looks very pretty!
love the pretty fabrics! Yeah, it's the simple stuff that gives me the most trouble sometimes. That's when I just have to walk away from a project for a while.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Joan! I had so much trouble with block 2. I don't know why. It wasn't a hard block, but I used my seam ripper probably a dozen times, LOL.
ReplyDeleteIf you're like me you stop paying as much attention when it's an "easy" block.
ReplyDelete"Simple" is what I'm called sometimes...LOL
ReplyDeleteVERY CUTE!! Can't wait to see the whole quilt!
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple block but your made it so elegant. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHA. I ended up using mine, too. Still fast, even counting the second time. Yours turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! Why is that? I think we get cocky on the easy blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric, block looks great!!♥
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful...I think we concentrate so hard on those tough blocks...seems like I always have to rip something on the easy ones.
ReplyDeleteVery cute block and such wonderful colors! Sorry the frog had to pay a visit. ;-/ (rip-it, rip-it)
ReplyDeleteAt least you got it finished, and it's very pretty. I can't wait to see your quilt when it's finished.
