Oh yes excitement..... your heart is pounding as you dial 911 And the Fire department, made up of all volunteer firemen;.....responded immediately for achimney fire ...........Nothing was lost and no one was hurt... we are not in Haiti or Chili; I can certainly handle the smoke damage in the house; nothing that soap and water can't fix. Soooo grateful for the dedication of our volunteer firemen!
Oh you must have been so scared. Glad nobody was hurt!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I will say that must have been some excitment. I was watching a tv show the other day. And in the plot of the show, the firemen in that town are ultra sexy, so before they get there the wife changes her shirt to something very sexy. Now fess up Joan, did you do that??? :) LOL. I am just teasing!! But I did find the show funny. I am glad they put it out and all is well.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear there was just smoke damage and nobody was hurt.

ReplyDeleteOMG Joan, that is way too much excitement for a Saturday. I'm glad everyone was just fine!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful attitude about this - our perspective on life has to change when we contrast it to what others are enduring! Would like to ask the name of the quilt pattern you are using in in your blog heading. It's beautiful!!! Pam
ReplyDeleteTo answer Pam's question the name of the quilt in my header is "Love Blooms" from Anka's Treasures by Heather Mulder Peterson.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Joan
I am so glad you are all OK, and it was just smoke damage. Hope the rest of your weekend goes better!

ReplyDeleteI too so love your attitude toward life, Miss Joan! Way to stay positive - and I'm so relieved that everyone is safe, and nothing irreplacable was lost!
ReplyDeleteOh My! I can't imagine... when I was quite small this happened at my grandparents house but I wasn't there to get scared... reading this is terrifying! I can't imagine how scary it was until the fire dept got there!
