Both girls received their tea towels!

The Charming Girls Quilt Club had an exchange project where we exchanged Tea Towels with one another... I was one of the lucky ones as I got to make two tea towels for two of my charming friends..

here is #1: it's decorated.....It's finished.....
It's an apron....The pockets are filled with goodies from.....Saulnierville, Nova Scotia, Canada...and not to forget the Acadian Flag is represented...
Oh! did I mention we also have to exchange our favourite summer recipe...

And that too goes in the pocket.....

Now this Towel goes to: ....Erin in Australia!

More of the same...

#2 is being sewn .. the same pattern is used ...

This tea towel is a nice bright yellow with blue...my favourite colors

The ribbon is sewn for the belt
Pockets are important in an apron...Voila! The Acadian flag is proudly displayed on a crochet towelette and travelling to.... California.........with my favourite summer, (salad) recipe

My favourite summer recipe;

1 cup cashews 1 cup mushrooms sliced

1 green pepper ¼ cup chives

Toss above ingredients in a large bowl abd add:

Dressing:

  2. Lovely and thoughtful! I love that you got to send these to two non-Canadians, and so they can learn a little more about Canada! This is a fun way that we can see how much we as quilters are alike even though we live in different parts of the world.

  3. Hi Joan,
    I know I told you many times, but I must say it again, I love my tea towel and your design idea. I'm going to make a few of these for some friends and tell them that the credit goes to you. They're already jealous that I made so many nice friends this summer outside of the U.S. all through blogging and our common interests. Thanks again.
