January update....

Here it is the middle of January and the candy jars are still half full. (That is a miracle with Gerald around)..The candy snacks are replaced by berry smoothies.

baked fish instead of high fat protein...
This is a delicious recipe...

Salmon With Honey-Citrus Glaze
Place salmon fillets or steaks in a casserole dish sprayed with vegetable oil..

Mix together:
4 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoon orange juice
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
Heat oven to 400ยบ Pour glaze over salmon and bake for 10 to 12 min..

Now what am I up to? I finally decided on how to quilt my Meadow Song...

I started in the middle thinking I would only stipple the flower blocks but then I liked the look of it so much I decided to keep going. so I am stippling all of it... it will replace my winter wall quilt .....

And I finished my "Apple Crisp".....

In the Martinique ..

Now it is off to the quilter, for Agnes, to do her magic touch in hand quilting.

This is a project for a fundraiser at our church......

How are you doing with you New Year changes? goals? ???

  1. Meadow Song is beautiful! As is the Apple Crisp. I can't believe how quickly you can finish a quilt. The salmon recipe looks good, too. I think I'll try that recipe the next time we have salmon.

  2. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe, I will try it tonight. Your quilts are beautiful, love the colors.

  3. JOAN - your quilts are so gorgeous - I love the stippling, it looks so cuddly! You blow me away with how fast you are!

  4. Your quilts are just gorgeous...look at all of that beautiful quilting.

  5. Hi there.... Dolores sent me to your blog, I am a fellow Canadian as well... enjoy seeing your work!
