Quote.. "A word to visit periodically and to focus on throughout the year".... unquote
What comes to mind for me is a phrase "Easy Does It" so for the one word to describe this I think I must submit "Lessen".
This selection comes from experiencing very hectic agendas in the past few years. Over and above my full time job as a Addiction Councillor (Not at all Stressful) in 2007 I was appointed to a National Seniors Council. My term on this council comes to an end on April 29th. I do sit on the Church council and I look after my 91 year old mom and What I want to "Lessen " from is not fill the spare time I have with other commitments as some come to an end.
I do have one that I will commit to and that is the Quilt Guild in Clare. ( La Guilde Acadienne de Clare) The first public meeting will be on January 26th and I have 20 women registered so far. This is exciting and a lot of women have come forward to volunteer their services.

This was our first meeting of the executive. This has been my dream for a long time and one of the first rule established; members can only hold their service position for two years!
So in keeping with the "Word Up".. I must "lessen" the length of this post....
I can do this!!!!! Lessen.. to reduce..to make less...to diminish.. make smaller (oh! that is a good one)
...
GREAT word!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a great word. And like you said, I'm sure all of us will be adopting a word or two from other ladies...lol!
ReplyDeletePerfect word!!♥
ReplyDeleteThat is a great word, Joan- I hope it works for you!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to lessen my mid-section - I like your word Joan, I think we could all use it!
ReplyDeleteyeah i am with you on this one. "Lessen" is a great word
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post! I agree with your word - and I've been working towards this goal. I work full-time, have a family, went to college and had a home business, plus quilt. I had a tendency to fill in every spare min. When I graduated in Dec. I DIDN'T fill the slot with more stuff. I didn't take on more quilting or anything. "Lessen" is really great!
ReplyDeleteI wandered thru your postings at a leasurely pace and enjoyed my journey. I hope in lessening your load, you fulfill your heart.
ReplyDeleteAw Joan - this is such a good word! You're such a wonderful woman - and you do so much for everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing you relax, lessen, and enjoy life! And, very excited about your new guild!!!
