Alberta Bound!

The week-end is over and many projects got done. The invitations for my son's wedding (August 8th) were addressed and mailed out. Exciting!

Family dinner on Sunday ...BBQ in spite of the rain.. discussion around the dinner table.... what else? The wedding!
On top of my "to do" list, this week-end, was sewing and I did manage to honor that commitment. My Molly's Meadow quilt is coming along quite well.
The appliqués are all cut out and bagged in ziplock baggies for the trip to Alberta.

The Glacé fabric by Three Sisters is gorgeous and this is the project I plan to make with it. The pattern is Starlight Express from the book Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott. The jelly roll came in last week, in my order from Cotton Charm so all I need to do is decide what color to make the background and put in my order.

  1. Sounds like you had a great weekend! Time with family is the best! OMGosh -- I love this quilt! I have that book--I'm going to have to dig it out! It looks just perfect for the Glace fabric. Have a blast on your trip, and I can't wait to see pictures and your applique pieces when you get back!
