A new Guild is born!

Let me introduce you to the members of "La Guilde Acadienne of Clare (2011)".Alisa and Anna.....Elaine..our secretary...Eileen.... eager to learn....Louisette, Aimée and Nicole...

Our experts.... Geraldine and Blanche....so much talent to pass on...The young generation.. Danielle Lorna..... would also be in the quilting expert category....Lots of discussion......Janine and Rose Marie The smiles tell it all.....Brenda Juliette and Cerita ... ....

The first meeting was for registering and getting to know each other, brainstorming and we did ! If we do everything we inspire to do we will live a long long time... There is so much talent in the group; there is no way we will be bored or not learn anything.Myra and Debra ( Alice peeking in the back)... Myra is the one who won the table runner.. "Days Gone By"
Suzette....... in charge of our social events and the fundraising ...
Our treasurer.. Claudette

Show and tell ..Nora.......had her "Serendipity Sunflower Tess" ..this was her first quilt she made
a"Bargello" in the Northwood Retreat...

As for me.. I was on cloud nine... to see all these beautiful quilters come together...

We start off by doing a Block of the month. It will be fun to see the different blocks and how they choose to put them together. Some do not want to make a big quilt so they may be using their blocks to make runners, table toppers, mug mats and/or place mats.

A sewing day planned for Feb 12....

  2. Sincerest congratulations to La Guild Acadienne de Clare! Isn't it wonderful that technology allows your beginnings to be documented in such a way that future quilters can see their charter members at work. You look so happy. I feel great pride in your accomplishment Joan in bringing the quilters of your area together. Well done!
