We won!

Whew!!!!!! I have aged about ten years in the last 4 hours,... Canada won the men's gold medal in Olympics hockey and it was not an easy win... Hats of to the Americans who played fabulous... (It is great to win but I ache for the ones who worked so hard and lost... )

History was made tonight not only for Canada but for Nova Scotia because our golden boy Sidney Crosby (Sid the Kid )made the winning goal!

Now I am off to watch the closing ceremonies and to do some hand quilting on my Star Trip...

Well CG&G another month is finished and for those of you who haven't done so already; leave me a comment for your finished February projects by March 3rd and let Kelly know your goals for March...I will announce the two winners of the $25.00 gift certifiates for the

on March 3rd.............

Again it has been fun to host the CG&GQC ... I have enjoyed seeing your goals, your tags, sewing with you at the Spring Sewing Party and now your finished projects...but most importantly your support!♥♥♥

Keep those machines revving and stay connected. Lots of fun things coming up in the

  1. Congratulations on the win! I was also impressed with how the closing ceremonies started with the lighting of the last part of the torch...just brilliant! My February goals post is here...I did get a few things finished!

  2. I just posted my 9 February finishes on my blog! Thanks form the chance to win! :-)

  3. Awesome!
I just posted my CG finishes for the month. Thanks again for the great party :^)

  4. I lost track of how many times I stabbed myself while the game was on [I was hand-stitching some binding]. I thought it was all over with 24 seconds to go, and then we scored! That was a bad stab there, and I think we broke each other's eardrums. While I was rooting for our team, I'm glad Canada won - it seems fitting.
I'm loving the closing ceremonies. I LOVE how it started, with the arm finally coming up, that was brilliant!
    Love your Star Trip, Joan!

  5. Congrats on the WIN! I didn't get to see most of the Olympics...very little in fact...just some highlights...I missed the Sewing party...tried to follow a few...absolutely LOVE your table topper...looks fairly easy too...me thinks! I have already posted my February finishes to my Blog...thinking about my March projects now! Whew...you and Kelly are sure keeping ME busy each and every month....Love it!

  6. A great game and congrats to Canada for a well-deserved medal.

FYI, Joan, hubby leaves for Calgary and then Edmonton (if I spelled those right) tomorrow. He'll be back Friday mid afternoon.

  7. Well, I finished 3of my 5 challenges for February...see post on my blog

  8. Congrats Canada! Great game!
Well, I was too busy sewing other stuff, ahem, the sewing party and other things took me away from my goal. I only finished one and here's the link to it:

  9. Finished two of my three projects. Was real glad to get them done. everyone else is working on some really great projects. I love checking out all the blogs

  10. Posted about my February finishes on my blog (with a post about my love of the Winter Olympics!! Being American I'm a bit sad Canada won in Hockey, though!)

  11. I finished the diaper bag that I wanted to finish. I posted about it here: http://busylittlequilter.com/2010/03/one-project-a-month.html
