September Finished Projects

You remember I had submitted a table runner "Twist and Turn"as one of my September projects ?Well everything started out well. I had the fabric "Summer's North" by Holly Taylor for a while, and was very excited to use it on this particular pattern. My intentions were to make the long version of the runner so I could use it when my table is fully open. It so happened I cut a piece the wrong way. #1 All was not lost because I was still able to use some of the fabric and make the smallest version.
But my disappointment lingered because I did not have a long runner....The "Holly Taylor" fabric is no longer available but my stash did not let me down and "voilĂ " . I made another table runner in the longest version and a good fit for my table!
Now for the comparison! Long and Short version #2 Another submission for my September projects was my "Rolling Star" quilt.. made with Cause for the Cure "Heritage" by Howard Marcus.I had it hand quilted by my friend Agnes...

The last step to a finished quilt is the label!♥♥♥ All finished;

A visit by Grand-daughter "Amy" and "Jay" just home from the links make for perfect quilt holders!
And #3 this table topper. I loved the star and decided to make a small piece using my stash to see if I would like it as a big quilt. I think yes! Pattern called "Bali Sea Star" by Kim Brackett. She made it with Batiks . Two more projects to finish to complete my commitments for my September projects. Both are well advanced and even though there are only 1½ weeks left in this month I am optimistic they will be finished .

No time to be bored, depressed, worried or alone when you are a member of the...http://www.cottoncharmquilts.typepad.com/charmingchatter/ I am also enjoying working on my Mini Quilt Swap,(Sponsored by Kris at http://dandelionquilts.blogspot.com/) and it is also coming along very well!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

  3. You've been a busy gal. Nice finishes. I like both runners. I especially like the Rolling Star quilt. It has a real heritage look.
